The people responsible.

Socialite Group is a social media marketing and creative agency working out of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, across the GTA and remotely. We are responsible for the personal information described on this page. Write to us any time at info@contactsocialite.com.

Only what you type.

The contact form is the only place this site asks you for anything. It collects:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your brand or company name
• Your Instagram handle or website, if you choose to share it
• What you are looking for, picked from a short list
• Anything else you want to add, if you choose to add it

The form also carries one hidden field named website. It stays empty for people and gets filled in by automated bots, which is how we catch spam before it reaches the inbox. If you are a person, you will never see it.

We do not ask for, and do not want, payment details, government identification or any sensitive personal information through this site. Please do not send them to us here.

Separately from the form, Google Analytics records anonymous information about your visit without asking you anything. Section 05 sets out exactly what that is and how to switch it off.

It becomes an email.

When you press send, your details go from your browser to Web3Forms, a form delivery service, which turns them into an email and delivers it to info@contactsocialite.com. This site itself has no database and no accounts, so nothing is stored here.

If that delivery fails, the form falls back to opening your own email app with the message already written. In that case nothing reaches us until you press send yourself, and it travels through your own email provider.

To write back.

We use what you send to read your note, reply to it, and — if it looks like a fit — arrange an intro call and carry on the conversation about working together. That is the whole purpose. We do not use it for advertising, we do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not share it with anyone outside the services listed below.

Counting, not following.

This site uses Google Analytics to measure how it is used. It sets a couple of cookies in your browser, named _ga and _ga_7DE14EVTZQ, which exist to tell a returning visitor from a new one. From that we can see how many people came, which pages they read, how they found us, roughly what city they were in, and what kind of device they used. We can also see general interactions such as scrolling, clicks on links that lead off the site, and whether someone started filling in the contact form. When an enquiry is sent successfully, Analytics records that one was sent and which service was picked from the list, so we can tell which pages lead to conversations. It never receives your name, your email address or anything you wrote.

None of that identifies you. We cannot see your name, your email address or your exact location from Analytics, and we never try to match it against the enquiries that come through the form.

There are no advertising pixels, no ad networks and no remarketing on this site. Nobody is following you around the internet on our behalf. If you would rather not be counted at all, you can block cookies in your browser, use private browsing, or install Google's own opt-out extension. The site works exactly the same either way.

Separately, the home page stores one flag in your browser's session storage, called sg-arrived, so the opening animation plays once instead of every time you move between pages. It holds no personal information, never leaves your device, and disappears when you close the tab.

We also use Google Search Console, which shows us aggregate, anonymous statistics about the searches that bring people here: which terms showed the site, and how many people clicked. It never tells us who you are.

The services behind the site.

Running a website means a few companies necessarily touch your information:

• Web3Forms delivers the contact form to our inbox (their privacy policy).
• Vercel hosts this site. Like any web host, its servers keep standard request logs, which include IP addresses, for security and reliability (their privacy notice).
• Google Analytics counts and reports the visits described above, and Google Fonts serves the typefaces the site is set in, so your browser requests those files from Google and Google sees your IP address (their privacy policy).
• Our email provider holds your message once it lands in the inbox, the same as any email you send anyone.

These companies are based in, or keep servers in, countries outside Canada, including the United States. That means your information may be stored or processed outside Canada, and while it is there it may be accessible to the courts and authorities of those countries.

As long as the conversation is useful.

Enquiry emails stay in our inbox while they are still relevant. If we end up working together, that means for the length of the relationship and a reasonable period afterwards for our business records. If we do not, we clear them out once the conversation has gone cold. You can ask us to delete yours sooner at any point, and we will.

Analytics data is different: Google deletes the visit-level records on the retention schedule set in our Analytics settings, and what remains after that is aggregate counts that were never tied to you in the first place.

Ask and it is done.

Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA) you can ask us to:

• tell you what personal information we hold about you
• give you a copy of it
• correct anything that is wrong
• delete it

Email info@contactsocialite.com and we will handle it. There is no form to fill in and no fee. If you are somewhere with stronger rules, such as the United Kingdom or the European Union, say so and we will apply those rules to your request.

If you are not happy with how we respond, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.

This is a site for businesses.

It is aimed at brands and the people who run them, not at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us something, tell us and we will delete it.

If this changes, it changes here.

When we update this policy, the new version goes up on this page and the date at the top changes with it. There is no archive: what you see here is what applies today.
